The forthcoming SAJ issue is exploring transformations in architecture that have resulted in technological, economical and geopolitical repositioning within the world. New / old potentials in architecture embrace a renewed interest in the concept of ecology, high-level materials’ components and functions, challenging constructions and calculations at the start of the twenty-first century. The architecture presented in this issue show recently emerged ways in which architectural design operates balancing with other disciplines, creating a productive environment and opening a range of perspectives.
